Kindred the Family Soul & Quentin Moore

14-17 Nov 2014
London, Manchester & Paris

There’s a reason why the Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell performance clip on YouTube has racked over 17 million hits. It’s because Marvin was rumoured to be in love – unrequited love, with his duet partner at the time – and it shows. Marv couldn’t fake it.

Kindred The Family Soul duo Fatin & Ajá are also in love and have been ever since they met in their hometown of Philadelphia, marrying 15 years ago, having 6 kids and going on to release four highly acclaimed albums, Surrender to love, In the Life together, The Arrival and Love has no Recession. So you know that’s real and explains the lyric to the sultry, string laced, single Magic Happen “I ain’t even gotta tell you – you should already know but just in case you needed to hear it, here it go … I love you more, than you could ever imagine …you make Magic Happen.”

With a highly anticipated 5th album “A Couple Friends” imminent Kindred’s live shows are renown for their inspiration and messages of love.

Quentin Moore

Quentin Moore is the essence of soul. The Rhythm & Blues and Soul crooner originally hails from Austin, Texas, the live music capital of the world. Quentin grew up in the church, where he honed his craft from childhood, receiving an invaluable informal education from the older musicians of the congregation. Under their tutelage, he learned about style and form, and grew in leaps and bounds as an organist and Drummer.

Moore’s recently released album “You Forgot Your Heart” is a mellow, jazz-blues-funk infused odyssey of soul, taking the listener on a journey into love, heartbreak, freedom and fulfillment. “You Forgot Your Heart” transcends mere performance and ascends to the heights of passion, pain, pleasure, and even purpose. Alternately a blast from the past and a vibrant portrait of the present, the album mixes the classic soul sound of the sixties and seventies with the neo soul vibe of today’s urban culture sufficiently to compel Soulgigs to invite the artist to open for Kindred the Family Soul in London and Manchester on the 15th & 16th of November 2014.
